Mo Cuishle

American-Irish folk

Saint-Etienne (42)

Presentation

Mo Cuishle is an American folk and traditional Irish music duo. Engraved in emerald letters on the back of the boxer from “Million dollar baby” (Clint Eastwood), the name of Mo Cuishle (pronounced [Mo Couishlah]) evokes a subtle alliance between these two cultures whose roots are closely intertwined… The two musicians, Clément Grolet and Jean Chapelle, rearrange the old repertoire of the Dubliners, Kevin Burke, Buffalo Springfield as well as the more recent Dan Tyminsky or White Buffalo...

They combine the timbres of their instruments (violin, mandolin, bouzouki, banjo, guitar, harmonica and flutes) and their voices to ask you this universal enigma: What shall we do with a drunken sailor?
