Presentation
The company La Pliure, led by Thomas Pero, presents its first show, “Mille Voyages” (A Thousand Journeys), a performance in French for the very young (18 months to 6 years old) blending a giant pop-up book, puppets, songs, and percussion.
In a room full of dreams, Doudou is always there.
But this morning, he has disappeared. The Wind whispers as he plunges headfirst into an enchanted book full of secrets… The Great Book of a Thousand Journeys!
We are immersed in giant sets, searching for Doudou. Along the way, we will encounter colorful animals, straight from the book's paper world, as well as songs that will punctuate the story. As for Doudou… he might not be so far away after all!
In this story imagined by Thomas Pero, young spectators dive into a giant book.
The adventure begins: it's the start of a quest and a question that can arise from a very young age, namely, the question of absence: what should we do when the one we love disappears? Should we move forward, even if the unknown seems daunting?
It's also the story of curiosity—a curiosity that takes us ever further into the world and pushes us to explore, learn, and grow through social relationships, books, and music.
And finally, it's the story of discovery: self-discovery and the discovery of others. Children will rediscover Doudou as one rediscovers the comfort of home. Through the character of Doudou, parents will see the inevitable changes of a growing child...
