Conférence Gesticulée De La Fourche à la Fourchette… Non ! L'inverse !

Finalised in 2019 and played since (150th in February 2023), this conférence aims to present findings and reflexions on the need to build democracy within the food system, following Mathieu, agronomist engaged personnally and professionnaly for food sovereignty and the transformation of food and agricultural systems.

Mathieu outlines the agricultural situation in France and reports on the work down by the project of food social security (Sécurité sociale de l’alimentation), today carried by a group of organisations that Mathieu impulsed and coordinated for 2 years.

From pitchfork to fork… No ! The other way around !

For a Social Security for Food.

"From pitchfork to fork" is a classic slogan, among others such as "from earth to plate", "from field to table", and "short supply chains": these distribution alternatives aim to relocalise food production and consumption, and sometimes even more so - to produce more ecologically, to better remunerate agricultural production. An emergency in the face of the disasters of the agro-industrial complex!

"No! the other way around!" insists on the author's awareness of the incapacity of these circuits to generalise the necessary transformation of our agricultural and food system, and of the need to think on the other way around, starting from those who eat, everyone, in order to pilot a different agricultural and food operation.
